| Job description | This role involves providing administrative, organisational and professional support to the Executive Director. It is primarily an administrative support role but will also involve preparing briefings for meetings, a task that will require knowledge of our signatories, their activities and responsible investment in general. We are looking for someone who has can demonstrate attention to detail, strong organisational skills and research capacity. The candidate must be very comfortable with technology, web research and the use of online applications. Description § Providing general administrative support to the Executive Director § Organising meetings and appointments, including agendas, logistics and minutes § Managing schedules and appointments § Booking travel and preparing itineraries § Attending meetings with the Executive Director as appropriate § Assisting in managing the London office § Coordinating PRI speakers at various events and conferences § Assisting in organising PRI events (e.g. PRI in Person, Sydney 2009) § Assisting in maintaining the signatory database and intranet § Maintaining the team intranet § Preparing briefings on meetings, events and conferences § Assisting with other PRI work streams where required |
| Requirements / qualifications | § Extremely well organised and efficient
§ Ability to work effectively without direct supervision, self-starter § Ability to relate to and engage with a wide range of investment professionals from different regions § Passionate about the goals of the PRI, and some knowledge and understanding of responsible investment issues (previous experience in responsible investment not required) § High-level writing and proofreading skills § Excellent people skills § Ability to work in multicultural environments § Familiarity with the use of online applications (we use Google apps, Google calendar, Skype, Salesforce, etc.) § High-level web research ability § One other language relevant to financial markets § Degree in a relevant field § Relevant work experience § Home broadband and PC with Skype § Ability to work well in teams and get on with people; Tact and diplomacy § Willing to attend conference calls over multiple time zones from time-to-time (this is not a typical 9-5 job) § Ability to travel internationally when required The successful candidate will be working at the heart of responsible investment globally and will learn a great deal about the field and the organisations and individuals involved. There will be a lot of contact with PRI signatories and the capacity to build a strong personal network. While predominantly an executive assistant role, it will provide considerable scope for professional growth and is ideal for an early career professional wishing to get a foot in the door, or a person seeking to move into responsible investment from another industry. |
