VINIS

VINIS is based in Vienna/ Austria and was founded at the beginning of 2006. The company cooperates with ERSTE SPARINVEST (#2 asset management company in Austria). VBV-pension fund (market leader in Austria) is a major investor in its products.

VINIS is the market leader for SRI - fund products in Austria with Assets under Management of currently about EUR 600m. There are currently 6 fund products available - two fixed income products (Cash, European bonds) and four equity products (regional - Austria, Europe, Global, themed – Climate Change). The first of these fund products was launched in 2003 (global equities).

The name 'VINIS' is derived from:

V - Responsibility (Verantwortung)

I - Innovation

N - Sustainability (Nachhaltigkeit)

I - Investment

S - Security (Sicherheit)

According to VINIS the term 'sustainability/ SRI' means to show responsibility. Investors, corporations and stakeholder form a kind of 'magic Triangle'. The SRI (socially responsible investment) approach is supposed to be future-oriented, anticipating and reducing volatility (and therefore risk). VINIS funds are managed on the basis of a four-layer investment process that involves detailed external and in-house know-how.
