Oikocredit

Oikocredit is an international development finance institution. Internationally it has become the second largest financier of microfinance institutes with private capital. We provide micro-entrepreneurs, small businesses, groups of disadvantaged farmers, handicraft producers and other productive enterprises in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe with the capital they need to expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Our financial resources come from investments by over 27.000 members: individuals, churches and institutions.
We are based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. By the end of 2006, we had:
- 10 regional offices and 18 country offices;
- 145 staff members worldwide;
- EUR 345 mln total assets;
- EUR 208 mln outstanding in loans and equity with 561 project partners in almost 50 countries.
