ESADE University

ESADE offers a solid portfolio of training programmes in the areas of management and law, programmes that are characterized by their quality, their international nature and their distinct orientation to the comprehensive development of professional and human competencies. The close contact that ESADE sustains with the professional world is an additional assurance of the practical perspective of all its programmes.

Founded in 1958, ESADE has campuses in Barcelona, Madrid and Buenos Aires, and has established collaboration agreements with over 100 universities and business schools worldwide. Each year, more than 6,000 students participate in the Executive Education and MBA programmes through ESADE Business School, as well as undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD programmes in Law and Business Administration at ESADE’s University Faculties.

The ESADE’s Institute for Social Innovation is intended to bring together and lead all training, research and knowledge dissemination in the ambits of social responsibility and business ethics. The Institute also deals with themes related to leadership and management of non-governmental organisations, and collaboration between enterprise and the third sector.

The Institute for Social Innovation will focus on five lines of research: integration of social responsibility into company strategies; public policies to promote CSR; leadership and strategy to increase the social impact of NGOs; efficient collaboration between the business world and NGOs, including transparency, publication of results, and the relationship of enterprise and NGOs with their stakeholders.

The creation of the Observatory on Ethical, Ecological and Social Investment Funds in Spain took place 8 years ago under the aegis of one of the ESADE’s research lines, namely that concerning itself with the study of methodologies permitting evaluation, accreditation and reporting of business activities from the perspective of business ethics and corporate social responsibility.
